    Boris red in final cut pro and I am a new user. I have made a cube with video media and want the cube to interact with footage in my final cut pro timeline. I have a checkerboard background or a black background in Boris comp window and what I really want to see is my Final cut pro timeline in the Boris comp window so I can match up reference points. Can you advise me please.

    The way host video layers work in RED is, first you have to drop them in the wells in the filter controls panel

    then the layer video will appear as Video 2…7 in RED Media popup button. To add a background layer use a 3D Flat Shape track. Hope this helps
