    Hi guys,

we’ve got the problem that we have a damn fast machine and nevertheless have to wait at least 15 secs for the boris title 3d plugin to open. I mean, each time we have change something in title we have to wait 15 secs. It should be 15 ms!

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Patrick

How many fonts do you have enabled on your machine? If it’s more than 100, Title 3D will be a bit slow the first time you open it as it build the font library. If you have 300 or more, it will probably be a bit slow each time.

Also, do you have Boris Continuum Complete 4 installed on this machine?

    Hi Walter,
thanx. Since we do also a lot of design on this machine we have a lot of fonts installed. I deactivated the most of them and now boris starts up quickly!

I thought that might be it. Use the Font Manager to manage your fonts, that’s what we do here. I have about 2,500 fonts installed on our machines but only keep about 100 – 150 activated at any one time.

Note that you can create new groups in the Font Manager to house specific groups of fonts so when you work on a certain project, all of the necessary fonts can be turned on and then turned off with one click.
