Hi I asked this in the boris forum but now I am getting some funky stuff on the Vegas side of things too so I thought I might ask it here as well.

I am creating a multilayer, fx heavy project. I am using Vegas pro 8 and boris FX and Graffiti. (I hope to use the pro titler more in the future.) When I have ten or telve layers of video with alpha channels, I occasionally loose some items. For example, I have a Digital juice jumpback full screen, then a layer of white letterbox matte. (Created with Boris FX static generator.) then a photoshop graphic with effects applied, then a video that flies in and out rotoscoped and animated in FX. Then another digital Juice element with an alpha channel, then a rectangle created as an empty track with Boris FX applied to create a transparent rectangle with Graffiti added to create text over the rectangle. Every thing will work fine then I will render it with shift b or do a final render, and one element will be missing. (Usually either the rectangle, though the graffiti text will still appear or the rotoscoped video element.) It seems to be Boris plug in, but when I restart Vegas those items return.
Do I not have enough memory to handle all of this, or can Vegas only handle a certain number of effects before it starts acting strange?

I figured it out. I was changing the settings on the wrong clip.
