I have been trying to do something really simple on Boris Continuum Complete plug-ins in Avid but I just can’t seem to find out.

All I need is to have two video tracks composited. On V1 I have moving video and on V2 I have a graphic with which I have created a vignette with animatte and some other BCC effects.
When I want to scale the V2 layer, the V1 layer also scales, but I do not want this to happen.
Is it possible to scale separate tracks with BCC?

    Thanks so much,

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

So you are using the scale parameters in the Geometrics group within the BCC filter to control the scale of the graphics layer but you would like to localize the scaling to just the graphics track, right? This is indeed possible and should be how this works. I actually just verified that myself on my system. So this is what you should be seeing …

V1 = track unaffected by the BCC filter that was applied to V2
V2 = track affected by the BCC filter that was applied to V2

    What are you seeing?

Feel free to email me off line at peterm@borisfx.com.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
