I’m looking into AAF Transfer from Avid to AE. When I bring everything into AE, my footage & comp are the wrong Pixel Aspect Ratio and weird things happen to the in and out points. They seem to be falling at the subframe level, which is very odd. I’m using ProRes HQ files (transcoded to Avid DNxHD36. Not sure why I’m getting this error. Also, it creates a custom frame rate of 23.98 instead of using 23.976.

    Anyone have these issues?

    Thanks!

    Hi Paul,

We would like to work with you on this – can you please send us your AAF file? We don’t need the media files, just the AAF file that you are importing into AE, for now. You can send that directly to me via email at this address: peterm@borisfx.com. I’d suggest zipping the file before you send it.

Also, can you please include in your message some information about your system – what platform, what version of Avid, what version of AE etc. as this will help us in sleuthing the problem.

    Cheers,

    Peter.
