Boris 5 install caused Timeline issues – reduced playback speed in canvas
Installed Boris Red 5 trial to try it out on FCP 6.0.6 on Powerbook 2.93 GHz with 4 GB RAM. I own Boris Red 3 and looking to upgrade. After installation, I started up FCP and the playback of my current project from timeline (using H.264 shot on a 7D) went from real time (before installation) to a very stuttery 2-3 frames a second. My clip playback, however, still works fine in real time playback. Uninstalling Boris Red doesnt solve the issue – nor does rebooting. A look through all my settings in FCP does not reveal anything telling. DVCPROHD footage, seem to play just fine. Any ideas on what might have caused this glitch, and how I can fix it? Would prefer not having to reinstall the software, updates, and other assorted plug-ins if not necessary.
