I’ve grown so inpatient with this annoying function in final cut.

It’s carshes every day, all the time, constantly. And ‘ve been trying everything, from changing font, defaulting the presets, etc etc. But every time i try to paste something into the Boris title 3d-window, it freezes, and wont let me “apply” nor “cancel” …in fact, it wont even let me shut down the window.

Maby the font is disrupt? …franky; i don’t care. I can’t go from font to font to font to try out if it works or not. Especially not when i work as a text-editor on films. And now, it seems every font is disfuncional.

SO!! -my question goes: Any other applications out there for FCP that actually works?

    Best..
    Your friend Max.

LiveType or Motion!!! You have a lot more control over text in these apps.

Set yourself up with some suitable Master Templates from Motion and you’ll be good to go right inside FCP: https://www.pixelheadsnetwork.com/2007/12/05/tdmd-daily-tip-podcast-24-motion-3-creating-master-templates-for-final-cut-pro-6/

if you’ve got reason to avoid that then you can maybe have a look at Motype which is an FxFactory based plugin: https://www.yanobox.com/features/index.html

The most likely culprit is you have too many fonts open on your system. Close down ones you don’t need. Title 3D will work much better.

    Have a wonderful day.

Boris Title 3D works just fine for me and has for all the years I’ve been using FCP.

The app does have a preference file somewhere under the hood that can be deleted. Try locating and deleting it, or call the kind and helpful people at Boris. They will gladly help you.

And, as Chris said, you may have too many fonts installed.
