I have never had this problem in 8 years of using FCP. Thoughts?

I made a line of text in Boris 3D. When I render the clip and play back, everything is fine for a while, then suddenly the first letter disappears, for a frame, then comes back. This causes the entire line of text to shift back an forth.

This happens on more than one of my text clips. These clips have no keyframes.

I tried trashing preferences, repairing permissions, and even re-rendered the text. It still jumps (but at a different time though each time I render!).

Strange, huh? (I’m sure I’ll be able to figure out a work-around – just wondered if you’d ever seen this).

    Thanks.

    Try deleting the Boris Preferences.
    On User/library/preferences, look for “com.borisfx..”.

Thanks Rafael! That did the trick. (Seems so obvious now. It’s funny how in the heat of the battle sometimes you don’t think so clearly).
