I received an e-mail from Boris that said Boris 3D Objects is on sale for $99 (full price is $399). I downloaded the trial and am trying it out.

On the Boris product web pages I see that Continuum Complete 8 for Vegas Pro includes 3D Objects, and much more, and the price is $595. Complete at $595 seems like a much better value than 3D Objects at the full price of $399. But with the $99 sale price, 3D Objects is tempting. (I have no Boris products currently.)

I’ve never checked out the pricing on Boris products before now so am not familiar with how often they have sales. So my question is, does Complete 8 sometimes go on sale for a significant price reduction like 3D objects currently has? (Perhaps not as deeply discounted.) If so, I might watch for such a sale and not buy 3D Objects.

If you are seriously thinking of purchasing Boris, i would
highly recommend simply purchasing Continuum Complete which
has everything and more. No matter which way you cut it, its
best in the long run. As for exact sale price reduction costs,
    im not sure.

Thanks, Steve. I agree that Continuum Complete is a good value, and is probably cost-effective for people who derive income from video editing. But it’s just a hobby for me and I don’t think I want to spend $595 for it.

I’m not sure how many of the tools in the package I would find useful for the video editing that I do (my own vacations and family events). I do think I would find use for 3D Objects, based on the limited testing of the trial version that I have done so far. It would not be worth the $399 full price to me, but for $99 I can justify it.

If Continuum Complete went on sale for a substantial discount, I would consider it. I’m just not sure whether it ever goes on sale, and how deep the discount is.
