Boot up issue
Hello gang………and Bob.
I love to harass Bob when possible as it was always the smart buys who were harassed in school right??? Truthfully, I’m a fan of the crogity old man.
I’ve got a nagging issue. I must have tried a demo somewhere of the Magic Bullet Colorista plugin and now every friggin’ time I boot up, FCP hangs up with an error telling me to reinstall the Colorista plugin because of a serialization error. I have searched and searched, one plugin at a time, global searches etc and cannot find any Magic Bullet or Colorista or Red Giant ANYTHING. It drives me nuts. When I have someone else work the system they proclaim it broke, which all one has to do is keep hitting enter a few time and all is good….but annoying…yes.

Library/Application Support/FCP System Support/Plug Ins
– keep the AJA Kona RT Enabler, kill everything else
Also – empty out Library/Quicktime – any plugins
NEXT –
/users/loginname/library/preferences/FinalCutProUserData
delete Final Cut Pro 6.0 Preferences, Final Cut Pro Obj Cache, Final Cut Pro Prof Cache
also trash com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist which is in users/username/library/preferences
In this folder, see the PlugIns folder – empty it.

Colorista 1.0 for FCP is an FXplug.
You will find it in:./Library/Plug-ins/FxPlug/
Delete the two plugins:
MBCC_Slider.fxplug
and
MBCC.fxplug -
