    Hi all
I’ve just downloaded the trial version of Boom Recorder and I’m hoping to run it on an old G4 ibook. My question is, can I get an adapter to simply come out of my PSC mixer and into my ibook and have Boom Recorder recognise the signal. Maybe just an XLR 3 pin to firewire lead, if there is such a thing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Glen Hall.

Unless your mixer already has a FW or USB output
(some do), you’ll need an analog to digital audio input device.

    Google for: FireWire Audio Interface
    or: USB Audio Interface

    You’ll find everything from a
    Griffin ‘iMic’
    https://www.griffintechnology.com/products/imic/

to much, much more elaborate boxes
    https://www.zzounds.com/item–MTU896HD

THEN you’ll need that audio “adapter” from the mixer to the input interface.

Thanks very much Thax. That narrows my search nicely.
    Cheers.
