Book Pageturn Overlapping Issue
Posted by Ronny Traufeller on July 4, 2024 at 9:11 amhi there,
i couldnt find a solution on the web including this site.
I set up a simple mograph based Page turn Animation in Cinema.
But i cant sort out the overlapping issue, a real book is hard to
create of you dont want to create all pages per Hand
I attached my Work,
thanks in advance,
Ronny

July 5, 2024 at 8:54 amHi Ronny,
You could solve the overlaping problem by change the Strength value in the Step Effector to 50% and re-copying the first page texture in the last channel of the Multi Shader as in the screenshots. I have also attached the modified file below.
Please let me know if that works with you.

July 17, 2024 at 2:17 pmi fixed it myself,
instead of stacking the pages on top of each other, i rotated them slightly in the cloner.
if anyone is interested i uploaded a file here 😃

July 18, 2024 at 9:32 amAmazing! I worked on your file yesterday for several hours to fix it, but I could not radically solve the problem. I just reduced the overlap, so I left the matter to return to it later. Then I now saw your post. It was a smart move on your part. I congratulate you on that. What is strange is that I previously changed the height in the cloner, but did not occur to me to change the rotation value. In the attached screenshot, in the red box is the rotation value that you changed so that anyone who faces such a problem will know how to solve it. In the yellow box, I changed the height value slightly to a negative value to show that the book has several pages to give a realistic look.
Thank you very much for sharing the solution and file with us.
