    I’m training to be an assistant editor on television shows in LA. I’m looking for a good book to compliment my training. Any suggestions? Thanks very much.

    Do a search on Amazon – there a plenty of good ones. There’s one by Steve Bayes in particular that is full of info.

    I second Jon on Steve Bayes’ book! I have had the pleasure of actually being tutored by Steve a couple of years ago and I must say even after 13 years of editing on AVID there are still many tips and tricks to be learned.
