Bones affecting wrong points -cause? Cure?
I have a bone that I’d prefer not affect ANY points in the mesh (it’s a “utility bone”), and tried to zero out the effect using the Weight Tool. While largely successful, two stinkin’ points are resisting being excluded from that bone’s effect.
What might be the cause of this? Why would a point NOT be adjusted by the Weight Tool?
Is there a different solution, like some overall parameter for that bone, a “strength” setting?
And why doesn’t the weight show up in the weight map with the proper color?
