  BMD Up Down Cross Converter problem

  Hey everyone,

  I have a few questions about the BMD UDC converter.

  I have a SD-SDI character generator and I am wanting to up convert the two SDI signals to HD-SDI in 1080i59.94 for use with a BMD ATEM 2 M/E Switcher. I have successfully been able to up convert the Fill signal. But when I try to up convert the Key signal, it is unstable. The video is jumpy, jittery and has a green line at the bottom of the frame.

  I am able to get a good quality SD-SDI key signal out of the character generator (so I am fairly certain the system is working properly, it seems to be an issue with the up conversion. On a side note when I take the SD-SDI and convert it to 720p59.94 the video is rock solid. Again, I need both key and fill signals to be 1080i59.94 for my ATEM.

  Any idea how to remedy this?
