BMD Intensity Supported File Formats
I’ve just installed an Intensity PRO in a 4 core Intel Mac running OS 10.5.2. I want to use it just for playback, not capture.
I cannot play NTSC DV or DVCPro50 files out of the Intensity Pro, is this normal?
I cannot play the 1080 or 720 color bars files on the CD out of the Intensity PRO, is this normal?
They all play in the BlackMagic MediaExpress window, but we only get a a Black or Red screen on the HDMI display.

Same here with HD… Playback and preview doesn’t work for me either in AE CS3 and Premiere CS3. I got the latest updates 1.8.4, only regular DV works. Wierd.!?

We got all formats to play back by uninstalling the 1.8.4 drivers, then installing FinalCut Pro, so all the proper codecs were in place then reinstalling the 1.8.4 drivers.
Now the issue seems to be that some files play fine while others, of the same format, will start to play then the video stops while the audio continues…
I will contact BMD Support and see if they can look into this.
