  BMD Declink Studio or Intensity Pro

  Hi – This is my post on this forum, as I’m in the process of moving from FCP7 to Media Composer 6 and Premiere Pro CS5.5

  I’ve been using a Matrox MX02 Mini for some time now, but have got increasingly frustrated with the quality of the drivers and customer support. Now they provided separate drivers for MC and PPro – which isn’t helpful.

  I’m looking at replacing the Mini with an alternative solution from BMD – probably the Declink Studio or even the Intensity Pro

  I don’t need necessarily SDI IO right now, but am looking for

  – a one driver fits all approach;
  – HDMI out, and in/out for component and composite; and
  – Something which doesn’t cost a fortune…

  Am I better off keeping my options open, getting a few more features and investing in the Declink Studio (rather than the cheaper Intensity Pro)?

  I would really appreciate the advice of other editors with experience of the various solutions.
