    Hello,

I have tested the 5.1 version of the DeckLink drivers and the field problem. It seems to me nothing has changed, maybe only AMD support? These are my findings:

    1. On a DV project: Fields are not correct on playout. I know DV is lowerfield and BMD PAL is upperfield, but shouldn’t the drivers detect this and move the fields ?

    2. “Reverse field dominance” on a clip in a sequence in a BMD DV project doesn’t seem to apply until I “force” a render. This is not a solution since all effects will not have the right order when exported to tape. DV projects are totally useless in this situation.

    3. On a BMD-codec project: “Reverse fields” seem to work on BMD codec clips, but require a render. DV clips in this project doens’t seem to require a render, but it doesnt really do anything until it is forced to render.

    Hi Yves,

As i said below, PAL DV improvements will be in 5.2. This was to address AMD and other performance improvements we already had coded that have been included.

5.2 is scheduled later this week or early next.

    Cheers,

    Regards,
