BMCC latest Firmware Update doesnt work!!!
Was very excited to hear about the new firware update and that it
supports auto focus etc etc.Just hooked up my BMCC to the net (using the usb)
I hit utility, it says checking updates, and then,… Camera firmware is upto date.
Great I thought, but now I see absoluetly no difference. No auto focus or other changes…
I have the ef CANON 28-135mm lens (apreture works fine)
Any one know how I can get the update?

You need to download the new utility version 1.9, uninstall the older version before installing the new one. Then it should work.

Thank you, sounds good. I will do that.
Just a small question.
So first un install the current utility, but then how do I install the new utillity and from where?
Could you suggest a download link.

Remember I have the BMCC, not the 4k version.
The updates are different I believe.
I tried the website of BM, only see the utility for the 4K. I need theutility for the 2.5 k version.

Blackmagic Design camera firmware 1.8.2 is the most recent version for the BMCC cinema and BMPCC pocket cameras.
Firmware 1.9 is only for the BMPC-4K production camera.
Firmware 1.9.1 is only for the BMSC-4K studio camera.

These are universal firmware updates, so you can actually use the 1.9 or 1.9.1 update on all cameras, including the BMCC and Pocket. It will essentially install 1.8.2 for the Pocket and BMCC. It’s how I updated my Pocket actually.
