An EF lens BMCC compatibility list is being maintained on Blackmagic Design’s user forum.

It’s possible the results may change with subsequent BMCC firmware releases (a v1.2 beta firmware has been announced but is not available to the public yet), so YMMV.
There have been numerous reports of an infinity focus issue with the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 zoom lens on the BMCC-EF.
https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3807A few users report that their copy of the EF-mount Tokina 11-166mm lens works OK, but most do not. A few users of the Nikon mount version report good results using a Novoflex Nikon-to-EF or other lens mount adapters, but most do not.
An alternative ultra-wide-angle rectilinear zoom lens for use with the BMCC-EF might be the Canon 10-22mm or Sigma 8-16mm. Of course, these aren’t as fast as the Tokina 11-16mm, but are reported to work (and have been used to shoot many of the BMCC videos on Vimeo.com) Note: YMMV & buyer beware.
Since the BMCC-MFT isn’t shipping yet, I’ll leave it to others to discuss lenses for use on that camera. I’m waiting for a BMCC-EF myself.
I strongly recommend not buying a lens before you have a BMCC in-hand, and only buy lenses from a reputable dealer with a 100% refund policy. Another approach is to rent a lens from a company such as lensrentals.com so you can test it on your camera before deciding which lens to buy.
The BMCC-EF & BMCC-MFT cameras feature focus peaking and magnify focussing aids on the LCD, but they don’t support lens AF. So whatever lens is used must include a manual focus feature. In the case of the BMCC-MFT, lenses such as Panasonic Lumix MFT require power to focus & set aperture, and so can’t be used on the BMCC-MFT’s passive lens mount.

Update: Apparently, initial reports of the Canon EFS 10-22mm zoom being compatible with the BMCC-EF were incorrect.
An alternative ultra-wide-angle rectilinear zoom lens for use with the BMCC-EF is the Sigma 8-16mm. It’s not as fast as the Tokina 11-16mm, but it’s 20% wider at the wide end, and fully compatible. For example, the Sigma 8-16 was used for all the extreme wide shots in these two BMCC-EF videos:

The canon EF lenses have a red dot where to connect to the camera, some have a white dot… they seem to work on the BMCC and say EFs instead of EF.
Do you have any insight on this?
