Hi, I just received my new Intensity card and I am very excited to try it out… but, I want to use this card in a PC that simply captures a 720p stream. I do not want to load FCP or AP. Is there a utility that will simply allow for uncompressed capture and playback?

I haven’t set it up yet as I am waiting on a new quad motherboard. I have a Sony HC3 to test with and I will post the results when I do. Thanks for posting… I think this card may have a place in producing part of a full length feature if it is stable. I however am not going to spend a lot of time trouble shooting it if it is buggy. If this test works out I plan on installing 4 of them. I am currently testing/using some very costly industrial cameras and this will be a much better rout if it works.

Re: “I too would like a standalone app to capture with!”

We have the Intensity working with the Sony HVR-V1U (with 24p extraction from 60i) working through CineForm’s HDLink utility; compressing to CineForm AVIs in RT of course. This is a standalone application. Expect the update to be out soon.

    Kind regards Gerard
