blurry pictures

If your Preview window is set to anything other than Best/Full, you won’t see the best quality picture.

Ok. It was set on Best (auto). I changed it to best full but my pictures are still blurry. :o(

I get tht same problem when I add HD videos to a SD project.
Try File, Properties, and set template to HD 1080-60i (1920×1080, 29.970 fps) and see how the pics look. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

These are photos for a slide show not video, don’t know if that matters. Where are you going to file? Vegas? I can’t find “set template”.

Ok, I found where to change that setting and I get a clear picture when set on HDV 720-30p (1280×720, 29.970 fps). My proble now is when I am watching the preview it will suddenly change from Best (full) to preview (half). Do you know why it does this? Is there a way to stop that or does it matter as long as when I render it is on best full?

This is one of many new features that was introduced in Pro 9.

Vegas can now automatically adjust the video preview size and quality to optimize frame rate during preview.

Right-click the Video Preview window and select Adjust Size and Quality for Optimal Playback if you want to emphasize frame rate during preview. When the command is not selected, video quality is emphasized, and the frame rate will be reduced if necessary.

Your Preview window settings have no effect on your render settings.
What does matter is what render setting you choose.
Since there are stills in it, make sure to set any render mode uou use to Best.
