    I’m getting blurry images.

My CAD software will write to a file. The image is very clear but when I compile it into a movie it becomes blurry

My cad software will write as
    bmp
    tiff
    tga

    and will write to size
    640×400
    720×540
    800×600
    1024×768
    1152×900
    1600×1280
    2048×1366
    2048×1536
    4096×2736
    4096×3072

I zoom in and out in Cad to get the appropriate look before I write the file. That way I don’t have to scale to frame size

    My question is;

What is the best format bmp? What is the best size?

How do I set up Premiere to make a clear avi?

The Premiere sequence setup should not matter much as far as your export is concerned, it only affects preview.

Just create a new “Desktop” sequence and set the dimensions according to your original footage, square pixels (I assume).

Where is that AVI file going? These day, AVI is only good for uncompressed export (sending it to someone else to include in an edit or archiving).

Tell us where you are send this file so that we can recommend a setting.

    Thank you for your reply

My movie is going to You tube. Download speed is the priority. Graphics quality is nice but I’m mostly concerned with speed.

I have a mini DV but some of the movie will be made up from stills generated from CAD

I need to learn the difference in premiere pro settings for this and also what type of export is most suitable.

However, I also plan to make a similar movie to this one but of TV quality. I don’t have a good camera yet so this movie is still one year away

In that case, try exporting to H.264 at 3 Mb/s

    Excuse my ignorance

    What is H.264 at 3 Mb/s?

    Is that an avi file?

Is that a configuration of premeire?

H.264 is under (h.264). It is an Mpeg format (.mp4)

3 Mb/s (or 3000 kb/s refers to the bit rate.

That’s what you would use to upload to Youtube.
