  • blue markers fail to convert to edit points in multiclip

I am using the multiclip/cam keyboard layout to cut between angles. I tried using the number pad to choose the angle. The blue markers appear in the timeline each time I choose a new angle.

However, when I hit the space bar, the blue markers fail to become edit points. The blue markers disappear and there are no edit points.

But if I use the multiclip button bar, the blue markers I create DO convert into edit points.

Its just that using the number pad is much more efficient–if it would work. Any thoughts?

Could you describe exactly how you activate the keypad, and what you’re doing to use it? Have you tried trashing your preferences?

    All the best,

    Tom

I am having this same problem…
Really frustrating to get to the end and all your markers just go POOF!
I am also using keyboard to select angles.
Will try with button bar (yuk – i might have to get my mouse out!)

hmmm… looks like the keyboard technique with standard controls only switches view – turns out you have to map some extra functions to get it to cut at the same time… There’s no Cut between angles keyboard assignment by default.
Solution is to map the kepad to Cut between angles and save that layout as a new Multiclip Keypad Setting

I’m having the same problem with blue markers, but I am unable to get custom key commands to work with multiclip editing.

I assign number keys 1 & 2 to cut between angles 1 & 2 (2 camera clips only) but when I press either key while the multiclip is running, I get the apple ‘error’ sound and the blue markers appear, but vanish when I hit stop and no edits appear.

It works ok with the mouse but what am I missing?

I’ve tried trashing preferences and starting new sequences but no luck.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Brad
