Posted by Ben Hartley on May 31, 2011 at 11:01 pmWhen i export a film with sound from my Premiere Pro the video flashes blue as if there is a blue filter on it. Why is this?!
Trying to export final degree project, help is much appreciated!

June 6, 2011 at 11:59 amHello!
I have the same problem when I export my video :S
– I used .mov files created in flash
– DV PAL setting on 720×576
– Premiere CS5
– I tried different export formats (.avi, .mov etc) but my video keeps blinking 🙁Could it be that I set the fps in my .mov on 30fps that causes this?
Thanks!

June 6, 2011 at 2:28 pmI have worked out that it is definately to do with Frame rates. The work i was working on was using alot of different footage so it probably got quite confused. Try changing the frame rate when you export it. Eventually i exported mine as mpeg2 and there was no flashing but this may not be right for you.

June 6, 2011 at 3:01 pmThanks for letting me know! I just tried fixing the fps of my source files by putting it to 25fps, tested it and it worked perfectly!! No more blue blinking 😀
I tried it earlier exporting to mpeg which worked fine, but the interlacing thing was killing me… deinterlacing my video gave such bad quality 🙁
Hope that won’t be a problem for me though…

July 15, 2011 at 9:17 pmSolved here differently – the above method didn’t work for me…
If you put a title over the offending/blue flash material & set the opacity to 0, it forces Premiere to re-render the area & the blue flash disappears – worked for me & my work colleague (who showed it to me.)

January 31, 2013 at 6:26 amJeff, great fix… I had same problem with blue flashes only after the renders completed.
Blank Title over the top removed the blue flashes in render.
I did notice the only clips the blue flashes occurred on was ones that where not 100% for their speed & duration %. Première must have a bug where it changes the frame rate when you play with the speed & duration of some clips.
Thanks again.

I had this problem. I did everything you listed and not resolved. After a long time, I realized that Blicking happened when I used an “Adjustment Layer” + “Luma Curve” embedded directly into video take (Mov). After replacing the “Lumar Curve” by “Fast Color Corrector” the problem disappeared.
Sometimes, only with the “Adjustment Layer” without any effect, the problem also happened.
Today, to assume the role of Adjustimant Layer, I create a new sequence based on the edited project. As this new sequence I’ll only take a huge, I go there and apply a desired effect.
Sorry for the English. I am Brazilian and I had to use a translator.Tks
