    using mov stud 9 plat
    when using the make movie wizard for blu-ray render I only get the sony avc codec option. This takes me through a disc burn and creates a .iso file, very nice.

    Question is if I were to use “render as” function and choose an mpeg 2 file type, does this go on to render and burn or only create a .iso. If so can I use this .iso with, say imgburn to creat blu-ray disc.

    thanks

    None of the above… it doesn’t burn and it doesn’t create an .iso file. It creates a Blu-ray compliant MPEG2 stream that you can use to author you Blu-ray movie with another application like DVD Architect.

    So John,

    I used the make movie wizard and it only allowed me the sony AVC at 15000 mbps but it did go on to render, compile and burn the blu-ray disc as well as leave behind an iso file that I used to burn more copies with imgburn.

    The color is gorgeous, maybe this is as good as it gets with the tools I have.

    Did not know that I had to use architect in order to burn blu-raY from the “render as” function.

    thanks

    Ed

    15Mbps AVCHD looks very good indeed. The bottom line is… if you are happy with the output then that’s all that matters.
