Blu-ray render settings for a beginner
Please forgive me as I am sure this has been covered before. I used the search feature but I really could not find exactly what I wanted.
Since I am new to HD I am having trouble understanding all of the settings I should change for renders (ALL renders are for Blu-Ray format, Blu-Ray disc, and Blu-Ray player for HD TV).
I have two clips on the timeline:
1) AVC format/1920x1080px12/59.940fps
2) DV format/720x480x24/29.970fps/16×9 formatIn VegasPro 10e, I create a new project with a ‘Custom template of 1920×1980, 59.940fps’. The only thing I changed is rendering quality to “Best”.
Do I have to worry about the DV clip on the timeline?
Now in the “Render as” dialog, I choose MainConcept(mpg,m2v,m2t,etc) as the file type.
In the template selection, I choose Blu-ray 1920×1080-60i, 25 Mbps video stream. The only changes I made were frame rate to 59.940 and the video quality slider to #31.Do I change the default from ‘variable’ to ‘constant’? If so what do I change the rate to?
Now in DVD Architect 5.2, I set the project properties to Blu-ray Disc/25GB/MPEG-2. But the frame rate can only be set to 29.970 interlaced. Does this sound correct?
Sorry again for the long post, but I just can’t seem so wrap my head around this. SD DV was so much simpler. Thanks.
