Yes, that’s what you ant them to have. BR-R are write once Blu-ray discs that you burn and BD-RE are multi-read/write erasable discs that you can use for testing.

In my experience the PS3 does not play menus from BD-R discs unless something has changed (and it may have, I tried years ago). If the PS3 sees it as a data disc, you can navigate the disc folders to the video and play it but it won’t play the menus like a “pressed” Blu-ray disc from “Hollywood”. Like I said, they may have fixed this with a PS3 update.
