Blu Ray compressor 3.5 mpeg4/h.264 or mpeg-2
I have clients that want blu ray for their wedding. So I am looking at buying the panasonic bdr206 xl from videoguys. It will hold 128gb but neither mac nor toast has come out with support but it will burn standard blu rays. Is this a good burner. What is everyone using?
The question for this thread though is this….
H.264 is a codec of choice for quality over mpeg2 for hd….but is it possible to achieve this with compressor 3.5 and have good results? What bitrate’s do I use(avg and max). I typically have 4-6 videos that add up to 60-90 minutes long. I have not found a work flow for blu ray h.264 for Final Cut users. Or does everyone use mpeg-2. If that is the case what bitrates do you use? I plan on then using toast titanium 10.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
