February 26, 2014 at 5:59 pmI have an LG that has worked well for me. I use it a lot to archive HD projects 25GB per disc. Just make sure it is at least 8X and supports double layer. Here is a good rating list from PC advisor in the UK.
My LG is there along with some other notables. Some model numbers may be different so you have to check the specs. Hope this helps.

February 26, 2014 at 7:54 pmThis is a great deal on an LG with excellent specs. Can’t go wrong for only $64.99, if you order by tomorrow night:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136269&ignorebbr=1Obviously Pioneer drives are always excellent quality. Even though this one is a little more expensive than the LG above, i’d probably spend the extra and go with a brand that has been offering high-quality burners since the late 1990s. This is the current latest-and-greatest Pioneer internal burner:

March 3, 2014 at 12:48 amI have been using LG now for years, just ordered the new 16x unit. Also comes with decent free software, CyberLink Media Suite 10 if you buy the bundle and not the bare drive.
