Blu-ray bit rates
When rendering for a Blu-ray disk AVC using Vegas pro the offered templates that match your project are for 10mbps or 16mbps although you might be able to use some figure in between these figures.
I select the top option 16mbps & import the files into DVDA. Here I see that there is a slider that allows you to change the bit rate up to 40mbps.
Does this actually do anything at all to improve the quality of your output since it would seem that DVDA would then need to re-sample upwards?
I’ve always understood that re-sampling upwards was a no no since all it did was increase the file size while possible making the output worse. Is that not true?
Thanks in advance
