  • Blood soaked shirt .. Effect or Set?

    Hi everyone,

im helping someone with some effects. Im using Ae 2017.

For the end of his short film he wants to show a guy, getting shot.
After the bullet hits, he falls to the floor and his shirt is soaking the blood.

Is there a realistic way to animate this effect in Ae or should one use instruments right on the set?
Im very grateful for your answers and im sorry for the bad english ?

    Greetings from Germany
    Denis

Back in college we did this effect by having a tube running to wear the impact was supposed to be connected to a super soaker(water pistol) filled with fake blood. Just required framing the shot correctly so you couldn’t see it. Then it was just a matter of editing it well for the desired look.

Definitely something to do on set rather than in post. It’s going to look much, much better and it’s going to be a lot more fun to do.
