blocking reflections
I am working on a composition with a set-up very similar to the one in Andrew Kramer’s reflection tutorial found here
https://library.creativecow.net/articles/kramer_andrew/reflections.phpMy composition also has a 3D video layer back in z space that reflects onto a floor using Andrew Kramer’s adjustment layer trick [in tutorial] to render the reflection on top of the floor
Then I have another 3D layer in the front that blocks only part of the back layer… using the adjustment layer reflection trick allows the reflection to continue through the front layer.
Is there a simple way to have the front layer stop the reflection?

Use the front layer as an inverted matte for the reflection.
