    Hello all!

I have a string of text that’s casting a 3d shadows from a light source onto a plane that’s accepting the shadow. However, There are a few vertical objects that I need to interrupt the shadow, and receive the shadow themselves. I created a masked plane on these vertical objects, and they receive a shadow just fine, but I need them to also block the shadow from hitting the horizontal plane. Any idea how I could do this? Here’s a screenshot

See how the shadow goes through the strap? That’s what I’m hoping to fix.
    thanks!

can’t you just mask out that part of the plane?

That’s what I ended up doing. Not as clean as I’d like, but I’m discovering that a lot of digital compositing is about figuring out what just works. Thanks!
