block artifacts on dv tape
Hi everyone
I have recorded some wedding footage with a minidv camcorder pal interlaced. when playing back the footage on the camcorder i see a lot of square blocks radomley here and there it tends not be so bad as you progress through the tape but is still apparent. I played it on a different camcorder and the artifacts are still there. Now is there anything that can be done to fix this in vegas or any other software. this is obviously been recorded like this. Thanks

It sounds like either your record heads were dirty or you reused a tape (or both). Whatever it was… you’re stuck with it. That is what’s on the tape now.
