Blink transition
Posted by Chris Poisson on July 23, 2005 at 6:22 pmIf any of you have been watching the Tour on OLN, there’s a couple of Trek spots which use a fast blinking transition on a few graphics. Any idea if there’s a plug that does this, or do you have to do it manually? Script? Something Graeme could make?
Thanks in advance.

July 23, 2005 at 7:56 pmFCP has both “Blink” & “Strobe” filters, I’d try applying either of those to a title & see if you can get that to do what you want. Look under “Video” in the Effects menu.

I know about those filters, but I am looking for a TRANSITION, not a filter.

July 25, 2005 at 4:32 pmPut one clip on V1, & the other on V2. Overlap them for the duration of the transition that you want. Razor blade the upper clip into 2 so that one piece is only the length of the transition, then apply the Blink filter to that section.
