November 27, 2024 at 9:53 pmHey Syed,
Blender is free to use, and I know of a few companies that have moved from C4D (Maxon) to Blender. I dropped Maxon sometime ago, when they took over Red Giant, and took up to 3-weeks to come back to me on an inquiry about upgrade price.
However, in straight answer to you question: For 10 Dollars, this might be what you want:
https://www.gamedev.tv/courses/blender-product-commercialsI have purchased more Blender courses from basic to advanced, through http://www.HumbleBundle.com that also from time to time offer Blender books through Packt and other publishers, at fraction of the cost – all for charity:
https://training.mammothinteractive.com/courses/?query=blender
https://www.gamedev.tv/products?category_ids%5B%5D=8&type_simple=Course
Should add that Unity and Unreal starting from free, also have excellent 3D tools that can be used for Commercail production.
Hope that this helps you?

December 2, 2024 at 10:40 amComparing Blender and Cinema 4D has raised a lot of discussion in forums and on social media, and to reach a suitable decision, we should not limit the comparison to one aspect between two complex programs designed to accomplish multiple tasks related to graphic design. Therefore, the two programs must be compared in each aspect separately then we look at the aspects related to our work field to reach a decision. Many people start by saying that Blender is completely free, but is this related to the basis of the topic, which is the artistic value of the results you get from using one of the programs and thus the income you will earn? The answer is no, rather this is related to an economic factor, to the person’s financial capabilities. As for the other aspects like Modeling, Motion Graphics, interfaces, and ease of learning, especially for beginners, even fair-minded from Blender users admit that Cinema 4D is still superior, but the Blender team is making efforts that have succeeded in greatly reducing the difference. As for cartoons and 2D animation, Blender is better. In conclusion, if the financial factor is an obstacle between you and choosing Cinema 4D, you should use Blender and be patient about the difficulty of learning the program and the difficulty accomplishing some tasks, especially motion graphics, otherwise if you have the cash, choosing Cinema 4D will be the best, and after you reach professionalism or become a specialist in one of the branches of graphic design, you could reconsider your choice and choosing the appropriate program for you, and it may be even another program rather then Cinema and Blender.
I hope this is useful to you.

December 2, 2024 at 11:44 amHey Kourai,
Although somewhat compressed, you make a good point.
However, if Maxon is not open for business, they can not sell.
Question is whether the training resources and pre-made models for Blender outperforms in variety and availability to what is available for C4D?
Then there is the elephants in the room in form of tools found in Unreal and Unity – yes, both Blender and C4D can feed into those sytems. But the key word is “feed”.
As said, I gave up on Maxon when they gave up on me.
My boys will be encouraged to use Blender, Unreal and Unity -> that doesn’t mean that they can not crossover to C4D and other tools.
Question is that when that time arrives, will A.I. prompting have put all of us professionals out of business, or replaced some of the expensive bespoke software solutions?Atb

December 3, 2024 at 10:31 amHi Mads!
Thank you for enriching the discussion, I agree with you that the Blender community is gradually surpassing the Cinema 4D community in terms of the diversity of resources, especially since most of them are free, which has helped facilitate many tasks that are relatively more difficult to accomplish in Blender compared to Cinema 4D. Also, regarding your talk about Unreal and Unity, I don’t think you will be surprised if you know that when I stated at the end of the post that it is possible to prefer another program other than Blender and Cinema 4D, I only meant Unreal and Unity and nothing else. As for the last point, I don’t think that replacing us as designers with AI will be in the near future, in fact, I doubt that it will be possible at all one day, but explaining the arguments for this statement may require a long discussion.
Thanks!
