    hi all…

i’m pretty familiar with my mac (if you know what i mean 😉 )

but what i can’t seem to figure out is how i can change my default program in the open with menu

i can do it with single files —for example if i want to open a paticular flash file with a flash player
but how do i get the computer to recognize that all flash files should use flashplayer

    thanks

Click on a file of the type you want to open. Hit Apple-I to open it’s information window. About halfway down that window is an “Open With” pulldown, where you select what program you want to use to open that file with. Once you’ve selected the program, there’s a button underneath the pulldown that allows you to “Use this application to open all documents of this type.”

Hope this gets you where you need to be.
