Wow, is this frustrating! I built a simple flying text project to test out some style pallette stuff. Added a few lights…everything looks fine in the preview window.
When I render it (.avi or .tga),I get what looks like an alpha channel: white letters on a black BG. I haven’t changed anything in my prefs, and checked them to be sure.
    What’s goin’ on???
    Any help appreciated.

Make sure that you are set to render the RGB and not just the alpha channel. TRy rendering as a quicktime using the animation codec and set to millions of colours+. This will give you the RGB + Alpha.
    Hope this helps,

    Thanks Mark,
I rendered the file without using lights and it was ok. If I use lights (in any configuration) the white letter/black BG problem on rendering occurs.
I’ll try the quicktime output and see if that makes a difference.
    Thanks again,
    Ken
