February 16, 2013 at 9:56 pmIt would be pretty difficult to find BD media that will play on any player. Heck, you can’t even guarantee that with CDs and DVDs. The problem isn’t the media, it’s the player and the write parameters you use.

February 17, 2013 at 1:27 amThe good news for Blu-ray is that BD-R and BD-RE were released as part of the original spec, rather than something that came much later. The bad news is that, despite this, there is no requirement for a Blu-ray player to support either recordable format. And some players may even reject BDMV on BD-R, because there was a big contraversy over whether this would be fully supported.
Your best bet is to use a high quality HTL type disc… some sites, like videohelp.com, track users’ compatibility results with different media. Worth a look.
