Blacks in Adobe Premiere

May 11, 2015 at 4:26 amHello.
I added a photoshopped logo with blacks that are supposed to become invisible once the video goes black. For some reason, the black parts of the logo are different than the black canvas of adobe premiere. In other words, the blacks of the logo are slightly grayer and visible. I tried rendering and exporting and it’s the same result.
I’ve tried using a matte, putting various values to no avail. I made sure the photoshop image has the same properties. Can someone tell me why and how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

May 11, 2015 at 5:29 amIts not blacks per se that appear transparent.ie have tranparency.
Its an alpha channel. They may seem to be “black” in Premiere if they are not overlayed on another image layer.
You create a graphic in Photoshop and start with a Transparent BG.
You then export it “with transparency” ie a PSD or a png etc…Craig Howard
