Blackmagic vs. AJA…just need DVCPro HD and P2 capture…
i currently have a Blackmagic Decklink SP card for my BetaSP video deck. i’m using this on my Mac G5 with Final Cut Pro 5, and i would only like to be able to capture HDV and DVCPro HD video from their camcorders in the DVCPro HD codec via firewire. i will have no need for the HD component breakout cables, but i will need to still have component cables for my BetaSP deck. what would you guys do? it appears that the BM Intensity will not work on my system, so the HD Extreme (at $1K!) seems to be my only Blackmagic upgrade option to capture DVCPro HD via firewire, and just checking to see what AJA might have to offer. i’m having a hard time weeding through the AJA options.
also, probably looking to go to the P2 cards soon and wonder what card would be needed for that. thanks!

the question is: what are you delivering?
if you want sd-output: the decklink sp is working for you
you can downconvert hdv & dvcpro-hd in realtime to sd with the blackmagic-card.intensity is only usefull if you plan to edit to hdv-tape.
