Blackmagic HD PCI-X /AJA IO
I have a dual 2Ghz G5 with an AJA IO. Will a Blackmagic PCI-X HD card work along side the AJA IO? This way I have Analog/SDI and HD-SDI capture/playback ability. DVCPro 50/HD only. Or do I need to go with the Kona LH card?

Don’t see why that wouldn’t work. Might just want to double check with both AJA and BMD to ensure that their drivers don’t conflict with each other.

Let me pose this question. Does the AJA IO work as a standalone converter box without plugging in the firewire port?
If so, then you’ll be fine. You can use that to convert whatever to and from SDI, which can be plugged into your Decklink.
