    Blackmagic Design hardware solution

    Hi Guys,

    I’m currently looking into upgrading my old MacPro system with the new MacPro.
    I also use a Blackmagic Decklink Extreme card in my old MacPro.

    I need a new hardware solution since the new MacPro only uses thunderbolt (and HDMI or USB 3) devices.

    I use the Blackmagic Decklink card by:

  • Sending a video/audio signal from the edit suite to the client viewing monitor via analog signal (analog cables are running under the carpet, will need to upgrade to HDMI eventually)
  • Receiving an audio signal from the Audio booth via XLR – the Audio booth is connected to a Sound Mixer which is then connected to the Audio-In of the Blackmagic card.

    • Can anyone suggest a hardware solution that will address my current situation?
