BlackMagic Decklink SP and Vegas / Component capture
Hi,
I bought a Decklink SP to capture betacam (Sony PVW-2800 / via component). I heard that Vegas software doens’t allow capture component from BMD. Is it true? Because I’m heaving problems to configure the BMD to capture.

yes it is unfortunately, and there is no hope.
i am using j-30sdi for capturing even betacam sp.
sony says that analog(component) ptt isn’t possible but i do it on daily basis with no problems (pvw-2800p).
if i have to capture from pvw-2800p, i have to do it trough decklink’s deck control and blackmagic codec.regards,

When you use SDI to capture videos via blackmagic, can you control PVW-2800 using Vegas Capture or you have to do it manually?

when i capture from pvw-2800 i have to (and you too) use decklink’s deck control app ‘couse vegas can not capture analog source via decklink extreme card. deck control only captures in qt with blackmagic’s codec which can be used in vegas.
i would really like to see vegas update with analog possibilitiy or deck control capture in avi with bmd or sony yuv codec or qt bmd codec optimised for multicore of multiprcessor platform.regards,
