I’m trying to get a new BM Decklink Mini Monitor working with Vegas Pro 13. Vegas says device unavailable after many download sessions. All I need it for is HDMI out to a real “TV” screen. I have lots of experience with Premiere and several other type BM cards on other computers — but on this computer and Vegas, not much luck.

PS: The Vegas install has always been solid but I got tired of using the floating video panel during edits and want something bigger to look at..

I had the same problem – was in contact with Blackmagic – they say that mini monitor only support up to Veags pro 9 ! You need a Intensity card for this to work in Vegas Pro 13 !

I believe Vegas 16 added back support for Decklink cards in addition to Intensity. Download a trial to confirm.

Vegas Pro 16 should have that all rectified now.

    Thanks for all the replies.

I have a second system used almost exclusively with Premiere. It has used a “Decklink Studio-2” board for a long time. Imoved Vegas Pro 13 to that computer and the old Decklink card works fine with Vegas Pro 13.

All I expected from this new BMD card was to just output HDMI to a remote flatscreen “TV”. Failing that rudimentary task, I sent the new card back. I’m done with them!

I also have a BMD “Intensity Shuttle” that is useless. It never has worked on any of my 4 total computers. What I don’t understand is how a 50-Dollar Blueray player, with a tiny CPU – and almost no resources – can output video to an HDMI port, but somehow, BMD can’t get their act together with all the resources in a high-end Windows computer. It’s all so hit-or-miss.
