I recently bought a Decklink HD Pro card which was shipped with the wrong breakout cable. Blackmagic have been completely unhelpful about replacing this. They are not even responding to emails now.

Does anyone have a good contact there who has been helpful in the past and with whom you could help me get in touch. A telephone number and name would be great – or, second best, an email address and name.

Anyone else experienced this kind of crap with these guys?

Have you posted directly on their forum? You’ll get a quicker response if you post there rather than here.

Thank youboth Graeme and Walter for your prompt and practical replies.

I am going to get on to Graeme’s guy on Monday and meanwhile have also posted on Blackmagic forum as per Walter’s advice. I didn’t know that there was one.

Definitely something to peruse at your leisure is the full listing of forums here on the Cow. We have many more than most people realize including a lot of manufacturers. Just click “Change Forum” to the left and it will bring you out to the full listing.

You didn’t mention if you had contacted your reseller about this breakout cable. Did you? What was their response?

Unless you bought directly from Blackmagic (which I don’t think they do), your reseller should be fixing this problem for you.
