    Hey guys…

just recently acquired a new 60G video ipod with the intention of
carrying around all kind of material that i digitize thru our BM card.

to my surprise everything converts to the ipod no problem thru a miriad of diferent software(QT PRO, Videora and AE)
but everytime i try to convert from a BM codec file it fails and I only get audio.
is this a problem with the BM codec? any1 else tried this out yet?

    thanx

Are you an Apple user? If so, are you using compressor to export the H.264 clips? Also, are the clips playable on the computer but not on the ViPod?

    nah, i use XP
I used qt pro for the export, and EVERYTHING that goes thru it plays perfect on my machine.
Except movies that are encoded with the BMD codec.

Have you got the BMD XP codec installed?

    Yes, V4.9 is installed.

Weird thing is,.. all other quicktimes work, Only QT’s with the bmd codec turn out black BUT with audio.

Would be great to get to the bottom of this, since i am trying to establish a workflow where all finished
spots that we keep on a bmd powered video servered can be transfered to the video ipod for our sales staff.

    thanx
