  blackmagic capture properties question

  In the Premiere CS4, in the Blackmagic Capture Properties dialog there is an option “Enable VariCam 8-bit frame rate in 720p”.
  What is the function of this checkbox?

  In Premiere CS4, is it possible to capture Varicam 24p footage via Blackmagic Multibridge Extreme?
