I hope I am just having a “user error” issue, but I cannot get all codec choices for AVI output, and the AVIs I have made show up as corrupt in Combustion and Premiere Pro (2.x).
The available outputs in Combustion for (BlackMagic) video for Windows are:
    BM 10-bit 4:2:2
    BM 10-bit 4:4:4
    BM HD 8-bit 4:2:2
All of the above produce “corrupt” files reading into Combustion, and “unsupported or damaged” files reading into Premiere Pro.

    I need to output SD(D1) 8-bit 4:2:2.

    WinXP Pro
    Combustion 4.0.3
DL 5.5 drivers (5.6 has more issues in my setup; have not tried 5.7 yet)

    Any help appreciated.

update: Just did a test with the 5.7 drivers. The same results, except MJPG AVI works well– quite well. That will be fine for my current projects. So thanks for the update! But I do wonder why BM SD 8bit 422 doesn’t appear in the list of codecs in Combustion, and why the 10-bit files are corrupt.

    Hi.

I had annother problem but not tested with latest drivers.
What i had – output from combustion to avi files
had some blockyness as compressed etc. specially with
CG. I started to use quiqtime instead as it offered 8 and 10 bit uncompressed and did not make eny small boxes etc on my CG and
it worker with Prem Pro 1.5
I’ll check this out tomorrow how it looks now afted 5.7 update.
